Dating rumors have been surrounding Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce for weeks, with the singer now being spotted speaking to his dad Ed Kelce for the first time

Taylor Swift has shown just how invested she is in her rumored new romance with Travis Kelce as she went to watch yet another Kansas City Chiefs game.

The Shake It Off hitmaker was pictured happily chatting to Travis’ dad Ed Kelce. It’s the first time they’ve been spotted together in public. One relationship expert believes the sweet exchange shows Taylor is “serious” about Travis.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror US, Louella Alderson said: “Taylor Swift has always been known for being close with her own family, so it’s no surprise that she would also make an effort to get to know Travis Kelce’s family. The fact that she was seen talking to his dad for the first time since their romance rumors began could indicate that Taylor is serious about her relationship with Travis.”

Louella, co-founder of the So Syncd dating app, said it seems Taylor and Travis are taking the next step in their romance by meeting the parents. “Getting to know someone’s family is a big step, and it shows that Taylor is willing to invest time and effort into building a strong foundation with Travis.

“It also suggests that she wants to make a good impression on his family and gain their approval, which could potentially be important for both Taylor and Travis as they navigate their new romance,” she told us. Louella added: “Moreover, this interaction could also be an indication that the couple is taking their relationship to the next level and introducing each other to important people in their lives.”

Taylor has previously met Travis’ mom Donna Kelce. During Thursday’s game, Donna seemed to pay tribute to Taylor as she wore several friendship bracelets on her arm, something Taylor’s fans love to do.

Louella told us: “While Taylor Swift had already met his mom at his football games, meeting more family members could mean that things are getting more serious between them.” She also pointed out that Taylor seemed to have “made an effort” with the wives and girlfriends of Travis’ teammates.

The expert added: “She invited Bridget out for a girls’ night before the game against the New York Jets. Not only is Taylor making an effort to get to know Travis’ family, but she’s also building relationships with other key people in his life. This bodes well for their relationship and shows that Taylor is invested in not just Travis but his support system as well.

“The fact Taylor Swift, who has an incredibly busy schedule of her own with her Eras tour and her movie premier, has now been to at least three of Travis’ games shouldn’t be overlooked either. It shows that she is making time for him and his career, which could further suggest that they are serious about each other.”
