Since 2013, one sight remained familiar in the day. It was almost like an expectation rather than a chance of probability. Stephen Curry had always been an All-Star starter. The Baby Face Assassin has every attribute it needs to have that honor. He is a showstopper and an exhilarating performer. With his NBA conquests, there is never really doubt about his inclusion. However, it seems that times are changing.
The NBA recently announced its All-Star starters. Shockingly, Curry’s name wasn’t on the list. His streak since 2013 comes to a break. It’s mind-boggling to think someone averaging 26.8 points and almost five assists isn’t a starter. But this isn’t a case of a well-deserving star missing out. It’s just the ones picked over Curry are having a far superior season.
Even the man in question agreed to it when asked about it.

The Golden State Warriors played a thrilling contest against the Sacramento Kings. After a missed free throw and Kerr controversially not calling a timeout were the talking points, Stephen Curry in particular had an amazing night until the very end. Disappointingly, while being hounded by two Kings’ defenders, Curry turned the ball over. The Warriors lost by one without even getting an opportunity for a game-winner.
Sadly for Curry, it had only been days since he found out there was a possibility he might not even be an All-Star. The thought is frightening in itself. A reporter questioned the four-time champion about his thoughts on missing out. Instead of being rebellious, Curry acknowledged the great seasons both Luka Doncic and SGA are having.
“I mean you got two guys who are playing amazingly this year, Luka and Shai. Been around doing this for a very long time and the fact that it’s a talking point after whatever nine healthy years like, those two guys are playing amazing. They deserve it. Hopefully, I am there in Indiana in whatever capacity but to still be doing it at this stage is always a challenge,”
It’s humble of Curry to give the two West All-Stars their flowers. But he does so for all the right reasons.
On the other end, Luka Doncic is being a magician. His flair has captivated fans all over the world. His scoring output of 33.6 points is only second behind Joel Embiid. The 24-year-old is also regularly flirting with a triple-double. Generational playmaking skills and a mastery of using his physique to score make him almost unguardable.
While Stephen Curry is having a remarkable season, the Warriors’ struggles are the pivotal reason he didn’t make the cut. Not to be afraid though because we will almost certainly see the Baby Face Assassin as an All-Star reserve in Indiana.
