Novak Djokovic’s Bold Davis Cup Decision Backfires as Serbian Tennis Stands on the Brink of International Embarrassment

Team Serbia came into the Davis Cup qualifiers with all the hopes lying on their shoulder. However, they dealt with a massive blow after their star player and 24-time grand slam winner Novak Djokovic decided to opt out of the event. Playing with a young squad, the team looked certain to make their way into the finals of the tournament as they faced Slovakia.

However, things went out unexpectedly and a complete turnaround saw Team Serbia trail to Slovakia. While the absence of Novak Djokovic was clearly a major factor, will the Serbs manage to turn things around in the tie?

Serbia’s Davis Cup future is in peril as Slovakia leads 2-0 without Djokovic
