Novak Djokovic recently made a candid admission regarding his biggest rival ahead of his participation in the 2024 Australian Open.
The Serb asserted that he looked at himself when reflecting on his biggest competition and rivalry. It is worth noting that Nole will commence his Melbourne campaign as the event’s defending champion for the men’s singles category this season.
Djokovic has enjoyed a terrific 2023 season, which saw him bag three out of four Grand Slam titles and become the first tennis professional to level Margaret Court’s 24 major singles titles record.
Subsequently, the Serbian will be looking to instate his dominance once again at Melbourne Park and extend his record at the hardcourt slam.
While talking to the Melbourne press, Novak Djokovic admitted looking at himself as his biggest rival despite facing formidable challenges from 128 players in the main draw of the tournament. He said:

However, Djokovic’s run in the annual team event was cut short after he suffered a shock straight-set defeat at the hands of Alex de Minaur in the quarterfinal of the Perth event.
