The LA Lakers were outmatched, outscored, and overpowered at home tonight, courtesy of the Brooklyn Nets. LeBron James and Anthony Davis had double-doubles to speak for themselves. But the Nets were unforgiving as they took advantage of every little mishap on the Lakers’ side.
When James was asked if he planned on being hung over the loss or to move forward, the King said, “Watch NFL playoffs tomorrow. That’s what I’d do.”

A stress buster for sure, football is a sport that’s close to Bron’s heart. Maybe watching the intense competitiveness on the field might be enough to get the King going on a rampage for their next game. The funny thing about tonight’s loss was that it was equally frustrating and astounding.
The first half saw a supercharged LA with the best offensive playmaking of the season. Moving on to the second half, the Nets simply crushed them, leaving them with one of the worst losses of the season – 112 against 130. And the fact that this was a blowout loss to the 11th-placed Brooklyn is adding salt to the wound.
LeBron James and his love for football is no joke
Earlier last year, Savannah James had shared her husband’s craze for the NFL in her Instagram story. Be it live games or Madden NFL, we can often find James sharing his thoughts, comments, and top picks on X (formerly Twitter). Knowing that just one photo would not capture King James’ mad love for the sport, Mrs. James went with a series.
One image, probably the one that stood out the most, showed the 4x champion watching an NFL game with his TV screen split into multiple sections. Whenever he has time on his hands and there is a football game happening, the chances are that LeBron will be present in the game. Be it in person or online.
Highly touted as a football phenom when he was young, there is no doubt that we would have known him as the NFL legend LeBron James. But as fate would have it, he chose basketball, accomplishing everything a basketball player can possibly think of. And still playing like he is in his prime!
Yet, football lovers cannot, to this day, stop themselves from dreaming of an alternate reality where King James would be synonymous with the NFL. Pretty sure James himself dreams of something along similar lines!
