LEBRON James has sent shockwaves through the NBA world with a cryptic post after another Los Angeles Lakers loss.
The Atlanta Hawks beat the Lakers 138-122 on Tuesday, causing Los Angeles to drop below .500 again.

James, 39, appeared to have expressed his frustration with the current state of affairs in Laker Land during and after the loss.
TV cameras caught the 6-foot-9 forward grimacing during a timeout in Atlanta with fans speculating he wasn’t happy with the next play that was being drawn by head coach Darvin Ham.
The four-time NBA champion then called out the Lakers for lack of consistency in their performance during the 2023-24 season.
“We could, on any given night, beat any team in the NBA,” James said in the locker room following the loss to the Hawks.
“And then on any given night we could get our ass kicked by any team in the NBA.
Later that night, James got NBA Twitter talking with a cryptic post, containing only an hourglass emoji.
LeBron can hit free agency in the summer as he has a $51.4 million player option in his contract for the 2024-25 NBA season.
And ESPN’s NBA insider Brian Windhorst reported earlier in January it’s not guaranteed he will re-sign with the Lakers.
“I don’t know what’s gonna happen with LeBron in 2025,” Windhorst said on his Hoop Collective podcast.
“I feel like LeBron’s going to play next year, but I don’t know if it’s going to be for the Lakers — probably, but he’s got an opt-out.
“There’s reasons to have discussions about this.”
Rumors around James’ future are likely to intensify as the season goes on with his son Bronny able to enter the NBA this year.
LeBron is averaging 24.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, 7.7 assists, and 1.3 steals in 2023-24, earning a record-breaking 20th All-Star nod.
