Federer, Nadal or Djokovic? Eden Hazard Picks a Clear Winner and Puts Him on a Pedestal

Even after his retirement, Roger Federer continues to be the center of the GOAT debate. He, along with the likes of Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, has ruled men’s tennis over the last couple of decades, winning almost every big title. Together, the big three have won a massive 66 Grand Slam titles in total. As a result, they are much talked about not just in the tennis world but also in the entire sporting industry. Recently, soccer star, Eden Hazard, picked his GOAT among Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic.

The Belgian star was one of the top players during his prime days for Chelsea Football Club. However, injuries plagued his career after leaving the Premier League club and he suffered a massive downfall. Here’s what he said about the Big Three.

Eden Hazard favors Roger Federer over Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic

Last year, Hazard announced his shock retirement from soccer. This came amid his injury struggles which had been troubling him for quite some time. Hours ago, he appeared in his first full interview following his soccer retirement in October 2023.

During the interview, Hazard discussed various subjects, from his soccer career to life after hanging up his cleats. Further, he even ventured into other sports like tennis during the interview. One such topic was picking his favorite players among Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic.

Talking about his favorite sportspersons, Hazard said, “Me, number one, Zidane and Federer. You know, people, they always compare in this world. We always compare things, yeah, and who is better, Federer or Nadal or Djokovic.”

Not only Hazard but Federer has received praise from even the legend of soccer, Cristiano Ronaldo. A few years ago, the Portuguese lauded Federer’s longevity in his tennis career.

What did Cristiano Ronaldo say about Federer?

The Swiss legend retired from tennis when he was 41. During his lengthy tennis career, he was at the top of his game for many years. Even during the twilight of his career, he gave his opponents a run for their money. Amid this, Ronaldo praised Federer’s longevity.

He said, “In sport you can gain maturity. Look at Federer in tennis, he’s 37 or 38 years old and still on top, and in boxing there are quite a few.”

At 39, Ronaldo himself has entered the final stages of his career. Nonetheless, like Federer, he too has had a prolonged sporting career and has been at the top of his game for most of his playing days.
