In case you didn’t know, Barack Obama is great friends with Stephen Curry

ormer president Barack Obama has been working with a group that could actually buy the Phoenix Suns, that much has already been reported. If it happens, there are many different possibilities that suddenly open for the team from the valley. One of these possibilities seems too wild to actually happen as Obama has many good friends in the NBA who are still active in the league. But none of these friends is as close as Stephen Curry and the entire Curry family.

The Golden State Warriors legend has never shied away from publicly accept he shares a beautiful relationship with the former president. They go out to golf together and sometimes attend other social events. For some reason, they simply click as buddies. But this friendship has sparked many rumors in the past 24 hours about Barack Obama probably getting Stephen Curry to sign for the Phoenix Suns in the future. Is this really a possibility if the former president closes the deal to buy the Suns?

Would Stephen Curry leave the Warriors to play for the Suns?

The fact Stephen Curry’s name is the most mentioned for a possible arrival to the Phoenix Suns is because the former president is very close to him. Obama also has a good friendship with other active players such as LeBron James but he actually shares family time with the Curry family. That makes a huge difference because Obama has the confidence to approach Stephen and try to convince him to play for the Suns.

Getting earnest with the actual chances of this happening is where reality strikes. Stephen Curry is a vowed Golden State Warrior and he won’t likely leave the team of his life. Perhaps the only chance this would happen is if the Warriors get on a negative dynamic and start losing every single game. But as long as Golden State keeps competing against the best and winning championships, Stephen Curry isn’t going anywhere.

Obama can do his best to convince Curry to play for the Suns if the deal goes through, he is entitled to that. But he has better chances at convincing LeBron to play for Phoenix than he does at convincing Stephen of leaving the Warriors. Let’s just wait until we get more news about the Phoenix Suns‘ purchase and then start speculating further about which players can play for the team in the future. Shall we?
