In a recent statement, the Serb highlighted the chemistry that he shares with the younger generation of players.

Djokovic mentioned, “Alcaraz, Medvedev, Sinner, everybody near the top, I get along with quite nicely. I enjoy it.” The world No. 1 went on to compare these connections with his relationships with tennis legends Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. Djokovic suggested that his rapport with the younger players is “much better.”

The statement gave out two different derivatives. While it seems to be giving out Nole’s connection with the rising stars, it also came out as a jibe to Federer and Nadal, who once stood beside him. The tension between the Big 3 was not just one-sided, as Djokovic’s latest revelation revealed.

Rafael Nadal picks Federer’s style of play over Djokovic

Besides Novak Djokovic’s statement of picking the youngsters over legends, he also invited hate by mentioning his perspective on how Federer saw him in his initial days. On being asked about the names of players who were offended by his expressive personality, Djokovic pointed towards the Swiss tennis maestro.

“I know certainly Federer didn’t like the way I was behaving at the beginning. I think it didn’t sit with him well. I don’t know about the others,” he said, expressing his thoughts about how Federer saw him. As the Serb recently dragged Nadal into his line of indirect hatred, he now finds himself in a situation where he lacks support from the fans.
