With the recent release of Fast X, Universal’s Fast and Furious franchise has achieved an important achievement as it grows into one of the highest-grossing films in the series. Dan Mazeau and Justin Lin, who also co-wrote the story with Zach Dean, wrote the screenplay for the recently released movie, which is directed by Louis Leterrier.

Fast X was initially supposed to be the first part of a two-part conclusion, but Vin Diesel recently made it seem like they both agreed to spread out the final chapter of the Fast Saga into a trilogy. The movie was one of the most highly anticipated movies of the summer and even though it has received mixed reactions from the audience and critics, it has still manage to hold the mantle to be a successful franchise.

Unfortunately, it did not perform as well at the box office as the producers had hoped. However, since Diesel acknowledged in an interview that he had begun creating new stories much earlier, this in no way prevents him from delving deeper into the franchise’s cast of characters.

Surprising cameos in Fast X delighted the audience

Recently released Fast X featured some of the most unexpected cameos, including Gal Gadot’s return as Gisele, who had ostensibly passed away in Fast & Furious. She only appeared briefly, though, when she arrives on a submarine at the end of the new film to pick up Letty played by Michelle Rodriguez and Cipher played by Charlie Theron in Antarctica.  Sung Kang’s on-screen persona, Han Lue, underwent a significant revival. Fans are particularly curious to learn what lies ahead for Gisele and Han now that they are both alive because they dated in the movies.

Diesel expressed his delight at Johnson and Gadot’s return in an interview with Variety, saying that although Fast X is the first of a two-part saga, it’s difficult to envision the film’s conclusion.
