This is embarrassing, Cardi B and Offset are in hot water!

The rap power couple is being sued by their former landlord for trashing their L.A. rental home and bouncing on rent and utility bills.

According to RadarOnline.com, the couple rented a lavish mansion in Beverly Hills but they allegedly left it in a horrible condition, with paint stains on the white leather couches, burn marks on the tables and carpets, bent curtains, and broken chairs.

They also skipped out on rent and utility fees, the lawsuit claims. The landlord is seeking damages from Cardi and Offset, who filed for divorce earlier this month. What led to their downfall?

The legal filing says Cardi B and Offset, real names Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar and Kiari Kendrell Cephus, destroyed the L.A. rental home after living in it for almost two years.

The pair are being sued for damages and unpaid rent. “Almanzar and Cephus, as well as their family, lived in the property for approximately 20 months, vacating the home without notice in October 2023.

[They] failed to pay rent and utilities for a period of time,” the court document reads.

Many contradictory opinions were put forward:

@veliciawilliams3776: It is common for any home owner to sue for attorneys fees if there is unpaid rent. Most landlords will put this in their contracts with all tenants. I think Offset was responsible for renting the LA home. But Cardi B is put on the lawsuit because they are married. If furniture is part of the rental agreement, they can sue for the full value of. Some things will be normal wear and tear. I would never tell anyone to not collect on back rents. If you have a great house management, you shouldn’t ever hear that money is owed. You go for to get the tenants out and not ask for back rent.
