LANA DEL REY was confirmed as one of the headliners of Glastonbury 2023 earlier this year, alongside Elton John and Gun N’ Roses.
The American singer’s slot on The Other Stage was highly-anticipated but, during her performance at Worthy Farm on Saturday, June 24, she was forced off the stage.

What happened to Lana Del Rey at Glastonbury 2023?
Summertime Sadness singer Lana Del Rey’s set was cut off at midnight because she had been late.
Tens of thousands of festival-goers had waited half an hour for the singer to take to the stage at the annual event.
The star was seen pleading with Glastonbury crew to finish her set after her microphone was cut off but her video screens then also turned black.
Lana was then escorted off by security in order to halt the gig.
Why was Lana Del Rey late to the stage at Glastonbury?
During her performance Lana revealed that she was late to her slot because her hair took so long to get done.
A hairstylist was even seen putting the finishing touchers to her hair while she was already on stage.
Shortly before Glastonbury’s midnight curfew, Lana warned the audience that her performance could be cut short.
She said: “I’m so f****** late they may cut my set.
Not long after, Del Rey’s microphone and video screens were switched off.
According to fans who were in the crowd, the star removed her in-ear monitors and the audience started singing her song Video Games.
Lana then climbed down from the stage and sang an impromptu version of another of her hits, Summertime Sadness.
After arriving on stage Lana apologised to fans, but it seems some people in the audience were not happy with the star.
The Mirror reports that some furious festival-goers even booed Lana when she eventually arrived to perform.
While some in the audience were annoyed at having to wait for Lana, and missing out on the end of her set, others rushed to her defence.
One fan said on Twitter: “Lana Del Rey being cut off mid sentence at Glasto is just the [latest] in a long line of media disrespect for her.”
While another said: “They absolutely would not have done that to a male artist, no f****** way.”
