New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge drops the latest on the club’s offseason moves.

The New York Yankees’ offseason moves put them in the running to have arguably the best roster in the American League. Adding Juan Soto to a healthy lineup should be exciting, Alex Verdugo will bring value, and Marcus Stroman was one of the best pitchers in baseball during the first half of last season before dealing with an injury.

In the typical Yankees way, it’s never enough.

Fans want more, the coaching staff wants more, and the players want more.

New York has an offer out for Blake Snell, the reigning National League Cy Young winner. Adding him to this staff with Carlos Rodon healthy gives the Yankees one of, if not, the best rotation in baseball.

Judge spoke about the remaining free agents, recognizing they can help this team accomplish their goal of winning a World Series. He had the following to say, according to Bryan Hoch of MLB.com:

“I hope so. They’re always working on something. That’s what’s amazing about being here with the Yankees. They’re always trying to improve. They’re always trying to make moves, be it a trade or free agency. I definitely feel like there might be another move on the way, but you never know. We’ll see.”

The former MVP saying that there’s another move potentially on the way is a promising sign.

At the very least, he’s putting pressure on the front office to get something done as it’s clear he wants them to make another move.

It’s uncertain when a decision from Snell will come. The left-hander, represented by Scott Boras, doesn’t seem too worried about signing a contract until it’s exactly what they’re looking for.

Boras has never been one to rush a contract and that’s certainly not going to change with a player of Snell’s caliber.

For New York, spending more than they planned to could pay off in the long run. Snell’s an ace-caliber arm and would give the Yankees a 1-2 punch that would be the best in baseball.
