The largest auction of memorabilia belonging to the late Princess Diana, former wife of King Charles III, is taking place this week in Beverly Hills, California, and will conclude on June 27.
Nearly 50 items, including dresses, shoes, handbags, and hats once owned by Princess Diana, are up for bid.
Among the standout items is a blue evening gown by designer Arbeid, worn by Princess Diana at the 1986 London premiere of The Phantom of the Opera, and a red lace dress by Edelstein.
According to Julien’s Auctions, these two outfits are expected to fetch up to $400,000.
Additionally, the auction features shoes from renowned brands such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Kurt Geiger, and Rayne, along with handwritten letters by Princess Diana and other royal-related memorabilia.
The collection also includes dozens of items that Princess Diana sold just months before her tragic death in a car accident in 1997. These items have been showcased in exhibitions around the world prior to the auction.
