Green Bay’s Jordan Love and San Francisco’s Brock Purdy both have had interesting career journeys and it led to them meeting each other in the NFC Divisional game on Saturday.

Things looked dicey for the Niners in the second half of this divisional-round bout, but Kyle Shanahan’s squad stuck around to secure a 24-21 victory to move on to the NFC Championship game as they await their opponent.

After the game, both Purdy and Love met up on the field to greet each other.

Cameras caught Love telling Purdy to ‘go win it’ likely in reference to him going to win the Super Bowl.

Purdy is one of the best underdog stories in recent history as the last pick in the 2022 draft, Mr. Irrelevant has led the 49ers to the No. 1 seed in the NFC in his sophomore season and now they are heading to another Championship game.

Love went 26th overall in the 2020 NFL draft but had to wait years behind Aaron Rodgers before they traded him last offseason and he got his chance to step in during the 2023 season and led his team to a wild-card win against the Cowboys last week.

In the game, Purdy completed 23 of 39 passes for 252 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in the 49ers’ 24-21 divisional-round win.

Love ended the night going 21-34 for 194 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions.
