Stephen Curry was at the top of his game today. So much so that even NBA veterans can’t contain their awe. His Warriors torched the Orlando Magic 121-115 and The Chef made a big contribution to that. Not only did he make 36 points in the 35 minutes he played, he delivered the final cinematic moments that made it a thrilling watch.
Along with fans former NBA pros are spilling their intense admiration for him. The likes of Andre Iguodala and Eddie Johnson spilled out on X with emphatic reactions to Curry. Leave it to The Chef to unite NBA Twitterati. Curry had 6 assists and 2 rebounds in another 30+ point game for him this season. He successfully brought the Golden State Warriors’ to 16-17 this season.
The moment everyone jumped off their seats came 2:29 minutes to the buzzer. Former Phoenix Suns pro, Eddie Johnson summarized only Steph can pull such a move in his X post. “Listen, if you take your kid to the practice court and teach him or allow him to do this. Odds are he will fail. This is the only man that can do this! He turned and looked away with ball in mid flight. Unreal,” he wrote with complementary emojis.
Johnson was referring to the moment when Curry made a shot and looked away before it sunk. It was almost as if he knew it was going in and he didn’t need to stay long enough to watch it through. Someone challenged Johnson that his kid could do so if they trained as hard as Curry. Johnson squarely responded with, “Wrong.”

Of course, this is a staple of the Chef. Andre Iguodala has played alongside Curry from 2013 to 2019 and won his four championships with him. Surely, he’s seen more than a few look-away threes from Steph during their time together. But watching it live in-game is still a special, special moment. Curry’s spectacle alone made him righteously go, “Steph cold!!!”
Steph cold!!!

Shaquille O’Neal is making a cautious campaign to include Curry in that all-time discussion. The ones that include Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Fans first dismissed Shaq’s heresy. Now, they might be seeing the point.
Fans are swept up in The Chef frenzy
The phrase, ‘washed up,’ was being linked to Curry a lot. While he said he was unbothered by his shooting percentage, fans thought he took it personally, Jordan style, to mount this comeback.

Orlando has been impressing as a whole for bringing every game close. But fans blame Coach Jamahl Mosley for the team squandering their chances in the fourth quarter. After today, Curry will haunt Mosley for days.

Our heart goes out to Jalen Suggs who had to run so Steph could fly.
Steph Curry should be in jail for doing this to Jalen Suggs 💀 pic.twitter.com/ZeRZXQmR6r
