MYSTERY ROAD Steve Kerr gives big update on Draymond Green’s Golden State Warriors future amid indefinite suspension, will Draymond Green still have a chance to play?

Green has a well-documented history of questionable fouls on the court

GOLDEN State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr revealed a massive update on Draymond Green’s future.

The four-time NBA champion has an indefinite suspension due to hitting Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic in the face last month and has missed 10 games since as a result.

The NBA handed Green the suspension as he’s required to meet certain conditions before he’s allowed to return to the court.

Golden State has played 10 games without Green, although many commentators assumed that Green would remain close to the team during his suspension.

However, Kerr has revealed that has not been the case.

The Warriors coach said Green hasn’t been in the team facility and that the two have only communicated through texts, according to The Athletic’s Anthony Slater.

“We’ve been giving him his space, he’s been giving us ours,” Kerr said, per Slater.

Green hasn’t been banned from being near the team.

Still, Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. has stated that he would be in the team build and with his teammates, via ESPN’s Kendra Andrews.

On Christmas, ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Green’s suspension was expected to be between 11-13 games.

He would be eligible to return to play between January 5 against the Detroit Pistons and January 10 versus the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Warriors are 5-5 without Green, including the loss to the Suns when he was ejected.

Green’s incident in Phoenix came after serving a five-game suspension for putting Minnesota Timberwolves big man star Rudy Gobert in a chokehold.

The 2017 NBA Defensive Player of the Year has a well-documented history of questionable fouls on players.

Green is nine ejections away from tying Rasheed Wallace’s all-time record of 29.

The 6-foot-6 forward also had a stunning altercation with ex-teammate Jordan Poole which had him knocked out during a preseason practice in 2022.

Still, Green signed a four-year, $100 million contract with the Warriors before the 2023 season.

In 15 games played, he averaged 9.7 points along with 5.5 rebounds and 5.8 assists per contest.
