Taylor Swift ‘gave freezing Chiefs fan her scarf’ as Travis Kelce led Kansas City to victory over the Dolphins in freezing conditions… with the popstar joking she was a ‘good luck charm’ after predicting a touchdown

Taylor Swift gave a freezing Kansas City Chiefs fan her scarf to keep warm during their playoff win over the Miami Dolphins at a bitter-cold Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday night.

The popstar was back in Missouri to watch boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Chiefs in action as they won 26-7 to progress in the playoffs.

Fans brave enough to attend were subjected to what felt like -30 at kick off, owing to freezing cold temperatures and a bitter wind swirling around Arrowhead.

Swift watched the game from one of the stadium’s luxurious suites alongside Kelce’s mom Donna and Brittany Mahomes but was eager to help those watching outside to stay warm.

Speaking to Today, Chiefs fan Beth Vancil has revealed how the pop sensation handed her a scarf midway through the game.

She also revealed how Swift called her the Chiefs’ ‘lucky charm’ after she correctly predicted they would score a touchdown on one drive.

Vancil said: ‘Taylor was so down to earth. She’s just a normal Kansas City Chiefs fan enjoying the playoffs.

‘She gave us a high five, and then we were high-fiving the whole game.

‘She (Swift) pulled (her scarf) off and was like, “You need this, you’re our good luck charm”.’

Vancil posted a selection of pictures and videos from the game, including one with Swift and Mahomes posing in the background. She also caught up with Hollywood star Paul Rudd, an avid Chiefs fan.

Swift wore an eye-catching custom red puffer jacket to the game, which was emblazoned with Kelce’s name and No. 87 on it.

It later emerged the coats were made by fellow NFL WAG Kristin Juszczyk, who is married to San Francisco 49ers player Kyle Juszczyk. Mahomes had her own version to support husband Patrick.

The popstar was seen dancing in the suite towards the end of the game, even getting Kelce’s mom Donna involved as the Chiefs closed in on their victory.

The couple were then seen leaving Arrowhead together after midnight.

DailyMail.com reported earlier on Monday that Kelce is not expected to propose to Swift anytime soon.

There have been suggestions that the couple – whose romance has become a major talking point during the NFL season – could be engaged just months after going public with their relationship.

But TMZ reports that no proposal is forthcoming ‘in the near future’. That is despite claims that Travis could get down on bended knee this summer.

TMZ also claimed there are, in fact, doubts among some people ‘on the inside’ about whether the relationship will go all the way.

It’s said certain people close to the couple insist it remains too early to tell whether they will ever move beyond this ‘honeymoon’ dating phase.

With Swift’s international tour resuming in February, the pop sensation is set to be travelling abroad for several months.

Swift’s return to Kansas City came after the couplle reportedly had their first lovers’ tiff after the Chiefs’ loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas Day.

According to Life & Style, Kelce ‘snapped’ at Swift on Christmas Day as the pair clashed.

Sources denied there was a spat after Kelce was seen with a stony look on his face in exclusive photos from Dailymail.com.

Swift was again the focus of plenty of footage during the Dolphins game and, according to Tony Dungy, the singer’s viral appearances are ‘disenchanting’ fans of the NFL because they take away from what happens on the field.

The legendary former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Indianapolis Colts head coach believes the ‘entertainment value’ that comes with modern-day sports is driving people away from games.

When asked by Fox News for his thoughts on the Swift frenzy in football right now, the 68-year-old said: ‘That’s the thing that’s disenchanting people with sports now, there’s so much on the outside coming in – entertainment value and different things.

‘It’s taking away from what really happens on the field.’
