UPDATE: Jayson Tatum’s Current Injury Status For Celtics-Clippers Game

Jayson Tatum is on the injury report for Saturday’s game.

UPDATE: Jayson Tatum is a game-time decision (h/t Celtics on NBC Sports Boston).

On Saturday afternoon, the Boston Celtics will be in Los Angeles to face off against the Clippers.

For the game, they could be without their best player, as Jayson Tatum is on the injury report.

Tatum did not play in the team’s last game, so this would be his second straight out of the lineup (if he doesn’t play).

Via Underdog NBA: “Jayson Tatum (ankle) questionable for Saturday.”

Tatum has played in 26 games so far this season and is averaging 26.8 points, 8.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 47.6% from the field and 34.5% from the three-point range.

The Celtics are the first seed in the Eastern Conference with a 21-6 record in their first 27 games.

They are 8-2 over their last ten games and most recently defeated the Sacramento Kings by a score of 144-119.

Following the Clippers, the Celtics will play LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday (in Los Angeles).

As for the Clippers, they come into the day with a 17-11 record in their first 28 games.

They are 9-1 over their last ten games and recently had their nine-game winning streak snapped by the Oklahoma City Thunder (they lost by a score of 134-115).

Following the Celtics, the Clippers will play their next game on Tuesday evening when they host the Charlotte Hornets in California.

The Celtics are 7-6 in 13 games on the road, while the Clippers have gone 11-3 in the 14 games they have played on their home floor.
