Watch: ‘Dude is Frustrated!’ – Retired player Gilbert Arenas shows off shooting skills and publicly calls out Lakers roster to do better
Former Washington Wizards and Orlando Magic star Gilbert Arenas had only recently used his podcast to call out the LA Lakers for their lack of shooting. On Instagram, he recently went a couple of steps further and posted a video showing off his own skills.
Arenas has been utterly critical of the Lakers since their In-Season tournament victory. The 41-year-old believes that while the team has in LeBron James arguably a player who is still the best playmaker in the NBA, a lack of shooters meant that they were over-reliant on attacking the paint, alongside Anthony Davis.
Arenas posted the following alongside a clip of him draining 3-pointers:

Tagging LeBron James directly, he called out the likes of Taurean Prince, Cam Reddish, and Jared Vanderbilt, three players who have played consistently but have not managed to make as big an impact on games. While both Reddish and Vanderbilt have disastrous 3-point efficiencies, Taurean Prince has been criticized for missing easy shots in crunch situations.

One fan in particular, claimed Arenas was very frustrated with the Lakers’ recent displays:

Arenas hilariously suggested that he has LeBron James’ back, and is even willing to rent out his arm to the 4-time Champion’s teammates.

Standing at 6 4”, Arenas was never the tallest presence on the court. However, he was nicknamed Agent Zero for his sheer ability to come up clutch when his teams needed him. Of course, considering their shared years in the NBA, LeBron is well aware of what Arenas could bring, back during his prime,
Arenas became a 3-time All-Star during his tenure with the Washington Wizards after spending the first three seasons of his career with the Golden State Warriors. He eventually leaned into the hype and the nickname and started wearing a Number 0 jersey as well. Regardless, a range of fans reacted to the situation, with most joking about Arenas’ confidence:

With a 3-point percentage of over 35, Arenas’s skills could surely have proven useful for the LA Lakers, who have cried out for a distance shooter. Of course, the offer in itself comes a decade too late by the veteran.
