Travis Kelce might have a better chance of being the MVP at the Super Bowl if the Kansas City Chiefs aren’t successful in making it past the Baltimore Ravens on January 28.

The tight end produced an impressive performance in their 27-24 win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, scoring two touchdowns to end an eight-game scoring drought.

But the reality is that even when he is not playing particularly well, Kelce has been making the headlines whenever the Chiefs have a game.

That is to be expected when your girlfriend is a superstar pop icon, with Taylor Swift‘s global appeal bringing Kelce into the mainstream of showbiz and celebrity news.

Swift’s appearances at Arrowhead Stadium and subsequent exits while holding hands with Kelce has transformed the 34-year-old into a star name himself – so much so that brands are desperate to secure sponsorship deals with him.

According to Page Six, brands are hoping that Kelce’s men fall at the final hurdle in the NFL Conference Championship game against the Ravens so that they can pay him to make an appearance at the Super Bowl.

It is claimed Kelce could pocket $1million just for turning up in Las Vegas for the biggest event in football, which takes place at the Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, on February 11.

And while he would struggle to outshine quarterback Patrick Mahomes on the field for the MVP award, Kelce may be aware of his value away from the field too.

Travis Kelce already has one gig lined up

At this stage in his career, Kelce would no doubt prioritize the value of a second Super Bowl ring over another tidy sum entering his bank account.

But that hasn’t stopped the veteran star from being farmed out to companies willing to pay big bucks.

Snack brand Pringles teased an upcoming ad on Instagram with a split photo featuring the iconic ‘Pringle man’ next to a mystery celebrity with a handlebar mustache. “Once you see it… you can’t unsee it,” the text on the pic reads.

In the caption, the company added: “The big game’s almost here, so we’re upping our ‘stache game. Who do you think it belongs to?”

Many believe it could be Kelce, which only underlines his value as a top-tier sports celebrity.
