The hashtag ‘protect Taylor Swift’ is trending on X, formerly known as Twitter, for a reason fans are calling disgusting and outrageous.

It comes as X bosses have suspended a fake account on the social media platform for posting AI-generated graphic images of the singer.

The fake images have sparked outrage among fans, many of whom are calling for legal action to be taken.

Although the backlash led to one account being suspended, there have now been others sharing the horrifying images on different accounts.

Masses of Swifties have joined together to share their anger and disgust online. X user, Belloworldd, wrote: “PROTECT TAYLOR SWIFT !!!! she did nothing to deserve what ever is going on right now.”

Uploading a video of Nicki Minaj and Swift singing together, the user added: “Stop searching for taylor swift ai pictures and watch this iconic performance.”

Reinteithrep said: “It doesn’t matter how famous someone is, we all deserve respect, taylor swift is a real person who deserves respect no matter what. PROTECT TAYLOR SWIFT.”

Swiftmirrorbcll put: “This is NOT okay PROTECT TAYLOR SWIFT.”

CharmSpot29 fumed: “Protect her, don’t missuse tech. Taylor Swift AI is as disgusting as hell Please PROTECT TAYLOR SWIFT.”

EricAkpan773569 urged: “Let’s Protect Taylor Swift the way she protects her fans.”
