Taylor Swift has been playfully warned by Buffalo’s mayor, Byron Brown, that she may witness the Kansas City Chiefs lose if she attends Sunday’s game against the Bills.

The Chiefs are set to face the Buffalo Bills in the NFL Playoffs’ Divisional Round. The mayor assured Swift that she would be welcomed by Buffalo fans but jokingly expressed confidence that it would be her last game of the 2023 season.

“There are many Swifties here in Buffalo and Western New York,” said Brown.

“She’s going to be welcomed here with open arms. And the treatment that she receives here will be so warm and so good that it will ease the pain that she will feel from the Chiefs losing the game.”

Challenging weather conditions

The Bills, who needed fan assistance to clear heavy snowfall at the stadium, are prepared for more adverse weather this week.

While the Chiefs and Bills both won their previous games in challenging weather conditions, the mayor’s playful warning adds a lighthearted touch to the anticipation surrounding the upcoming matchup.

Swift, known for supporting her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, at NFL games, is likely to receive VIP treatment if she attends.

The winner of the Chiefs vs. Bills game will advance to the AFC Championship Game with the possibility of reaching the Super Bowl in Las Vegas.
