Anthony Davis and LeBron James have shared the basketball court for the Los Angeles Lakers for several years. Now, as Davis welcomes James’ son, Bronny, to the Lakers, his focus has amusingly shifted towards the younger James.

AD recently shared a hilarious phone call that highlighted his new priority.

“I actually called him [Bronny] when he got drafted. I called Bron [because] I don’t have Bronny’s number yet. I called Bron, ‘What’s up man?’ ‘I don’t want to talk to you, I want to talk to my new teammate!’” Davis said.

The Lakers used their No. 17 pick to select Dalton Knecht. When Bronny went undrafted in the first round of the NBA draft, speculation grew about the Lakers’ interest in him. This speculation proved correct, as the Lakers picked Bronny as the No. 55 overall pick the following day.

Reports suggested that Rich Paul, Bronny’s agent, played a crucial role in this outcome. Paul contacted all teams, advising them not to draft Bronny and hinting that he might go to Australia if they did.
