Luis Suárez continues his career at Inter Miami in the American Major League Soccer. The 36-year-old Uruguayan is reunited there with his good friend Lionel Messi, who made the switch last summer.
Two other former FC Barcelona teammates of Suárez also play at Inter Miami: Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
This year, Suárez played for Brazilian side Grêmio, where, despite chronic knee problems, he showed that he was not yet worn out. The attacker scored 26 goals and 17 assists in 53 games in Brazil and was voted the best player in the Brazilian league.
Successes at Barcelona
Suárez moved from Uruguayan Nacional to FC Groningen in 2006 and ended up at Barcelona via Ajax and Liverpool in 2014. In Catalonia, he had six successful seasons alongside Messi, winning four league titles, the Champions League, and the Club World Cup as highlights.

“We are pleased to have a player of Luis’ quality and passion for the game join our club,” said David Beckham, co-owner of Inter Miami.
The new season in the MLS starts on February 22 with a match between Inter Miami and Real Salt Lake.
