Kylian Mbappe made time in his busy football schedule to support his country in the Rugby Union World Cup opener.

The 2023 competition will be held in France, and the opening match was played there on Friday night between the French national team and the New Zealand All Blacks.

Paris Saint-Germain sensation Mbappe was in the Saint-Denis audience as the French won a nail-biting match 27-13 to get the tournament started to a great start.

The future of the France international’s football career is the subject of intense conjecture. Real Madrid has been linked to him as his PSG contract ends next summer, and it seems doubtful that he would sign new terms.

Mbappe and several of his teammates took the time to observe and support their compatriots in a different sport, despite the fact that he has been called up for international duty with his country’s football team for matches against the Republic of Ireland and Germany.

Along with Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann, Olivier Giroud, Ousmane Dembele, and Dayot Upamecano were in attendance at the Stade de France to witness France’s exciting triumph. The score was 9-8 in favor of the hosts at the half of the close game.

Video of the French football team celebrating throughout the match has surfaced, and based on Mbappe’s reaction, it appears that watching and comprehending rugby union may not be his strongest suit.

It depicts the audience cheering during a game, but Mbappe’s participation is clearly delayed, raising questions about his knowledge of the game.

The striker ultimately joins in and raises his arms, but his joyous celebrations fall far short of those of the people in the audience.

The video was picked up by Get French football news, who took a humorous approach and released an emoji with the caption: “Kylian trying to understand rugby.”
