Mike and Zara Tindall have been deemed “the glue of their generation of royals” and are said to be known for “bringing the fun” to any royal event.

Mike Tindall is said to bring a sense of “positivity” to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis’s lives.
The 45-year-old former rugby professional is known for having a close relationship with the Prince and Princess of Wales – and equally with all three of their children.
Mike officially joined the Royal Family in 2011 – the same year as Princess Kate – after marrying Princess Anne’s daughter, Zara.
As reported by Tatler, Mike and Zara Tindall are “understood to be a vital cog in the family machine” – especially during the two major health battles of the past few months.
The article highlights that the couple brings qualities such as “good humour, enthusiasm and positivity” and, according to a royal expert, these qualities have been an added benefit to George, Charlotte and Louis.

According to The Times, a source said: “While some family members can be very ‘royal’, Mike is just himself and is relaxed and playful with George, Charlotte and Louis.
“It helps that they all have children around the same age that they can fool around together privately and bring a sense of normality to what is a stressful situation for everyone involved.”
The presence of Mike and Zara has bought “joy and balance” to the responsibility of royal life, with the source adding: “[Kate’s] children are her guiding concern… she is an incredibly relatable mother figure, a total natural.
“She is a mother first and a public figure second.”

Like William and Kate, Zara and Mike also have three children of their own – all of whom are similar ages to the Waleses’ trio.
Following their wedding in 2011, Zara gave birth to the couple’s first child, a daughter named Mia, in January 2014.
Mike and Zara’s second daughter, Lena, was born in June 2018, with their son Lucas following in March 2021.

“James (Prince Edward’s son) is, well not exactly the ring leader, but he’s the oldest. So, yeah, it’s going to be a good little group.”
Previously speaking to Express.co.uk, body language expert Judi James pointed out that Mike had become “especially close” to William in recent years.
