SHE has spent the past decade living in sunny Los Angeles and now Adele has revealed why she is so eager to stay put.
The superstar says she suffers from “really bad seasonal depression”, known as SAD — which means the cold, dark weather at home in Britain during the winter is an absolute no-go.

In a rare interview with The Hollywood Reporter mag, Adele explained: “I get really bad seasonal depression, so the weather is good for me. It is strange sometimes, because I’m very British.
“Because it’s a bit harder for me to go out nowadays, what I love the most about L.A. is everyone goes to each other’s houses. I like that.”
Living in Hollywood could see her on the big screen too.
Asked if she has considered acting, she said: “There is one movie I want to do, but the guy whose movie it would be, he’s not mentally ready to write the script for it.”
On whether it is someone people know, she replied: “Yeah. I’m not giving you no clues, though. I bug him every now and then about it, but he’s just not there yet. But that’s the only role I ever want, because I think I’d nail it.”
Instead, she has dreams of working behind the scenes.
Adele, who was supported by fellow British pop star Dua Lipa at a Women in Hollywood event last night, continued: “My dream job is to be a script reader. People think it’s hilarious and they don’t take me seriously. I say to my manager, ‘I want to be really successful at something’. He’s like, ‘What?’
“I was like, ‘but (music) is my hobby. I just fell into it. I want to be in TV and behind the scenes’.”
The singer has spent the past year performing her Las Vegas residency, which means there is no new music on the way.
On whether she has had time to record, Adele said: “I get nervous about wearing my voice out. (The show is) a lot of singing. It’s two hours. It’s all live. And I f**king and chat me ass off as well. But yeah, I have nothing to say yet. I haven’t even thought about it.”
The show has been a huge hit but Adele admitted it has still been nerve wracking, especially when Lady Gaga watched.
She explained: “I’ve spent a bit of time with her, but I rate her so hard . . . She made me really, really nervous.”
One person hoping she will make new music is her husband, sports agent Rich Paul.
Asked if she listens to her own songs, she said no, but added: “Rich does, it drives me, insane.”
