Singer Lana Del Rey has faced backlash for wearing a mesh face mask at a book signing event for her poetry collection Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass.

Lana Del Rey has been slammed by fans for not taking the coronavirus pandemic seriously.

The 35 year old real name Elizabeth Woolridge Grant, wore a sparkly fishnet face mask to her own book signing event for her poetry collection Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass at Barnes & Nobles in Los Angeles.

The star, who wore her blonde locks back into a low bun, was promoting her new title at the bookstore, where she was cordoned off to read excerpts.

The Summertime Sadness hitmaker, who previously said she would fight Radiohead “in court”, later took photos with her loyal fans, posing in a glamorous mesh face mask – a similar mask she wore for the cover of Interview magazine in September.

Lana’s younger sister Caroline ‘Chuck’ Grant, who is a photographer, also attended the event and livestreamed the whole thing on her Instagram.

However, Caroline’s older sibling faced backlash in the comments as many fans couldn’t help but complain over Lana’s choice of face covering while attending the meet-and-greet event.
