This is not the first time an actor has received such a low salary.

Chris Evans in the movie “Captain America: The First Avenger” also only received a basic salary of $300,000.

Gal Gadot may be the biggest face in superhero movies today, but the “female warrior’s” salary doesn’t seem to correspond to the film’s current success.

According to The Daily Dot, the star of the movie “Wonder Women” was paid $300,000. Gal Gadot is currently on the second project of a three-film contract, in which she is paid per project (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman, and Justice League). Due to the success of the movie “Wonder Woman”, it is possible that Gal Gadot will be eligible for additional bonuses as stated in her contract.

This is a surprisingly low number in the superhero world, with hundreds of millions of dollars to produce and promote films. But this is not the first time an actor has received such a low salary. Chris Evans in the movie “Captain America: The First Avenger” also only received a basic salary of $300,000.

However, the actors in the movie “Avengers” earned from 2 – 6 million USD after receiving bonuses, especially Robert Downey Jr. received a sum of up to 50 million USD. And Henry Cavil earned up to 14 million USD in his first time playing Superman in “Man of Steel”.

With “Wonder Women”‘s worldwide gross of $570 million to date, Gal Gadot can hope for more bonuses when the film’s final gross is announced.
