Cardi B previewed some unreleased music on social media, earlier this week. The stream comes as she continues to work on her highly-anticipated sophomore album. When The Neighborhood Talk shared the clip on Instagram, fans had mixed responses to the song.
“When are ppl and the industry/media gonna be honest about Cardi?” one hater wrote. “She’s the most coddled artist in history and doesn’t even have the talent to deserve the grace she’s been given. Other actual talented artists have been dragged for a lot less.” Another added: “All her music sound like pandemic raps. You can tell they were made years ago.”
Cardi B has been building to the release of her next album for years at this point. She dropped her critically acclaimed debut, Invasion of Privacy, back in 2018. She recently explained the reason for the delay while appearing on Ebro in the Morning.
“Then on top of that, everything just has to be like perfect from everything because I feel like people are expecting so much,” she said. “For my first album, I didn’t get to do not even half the things I wanted to do because I was super super duper pregnant. I missed out on a lot of videos I wanted to do, I missed out on touring — I just missed out on a lot of things, so I just gotta make sure that everything is just planned out.” She also confirmed the project will drop sometime in 2024.

The stellar line-up for the second edition of the Pièces jaunes Gala included Rihanna’s partner and famous rapper A$AP Rocky, as well as the likes of Maroon 5, J Balvin, Pharrell Williams, Stray Kids, Lisa from BLACKPINK and Gims and Gautier Capuçon.
Rihanna has been working the social scene during Paris Fashion Week where she has sat on the front row for the likes of Dior.
The singer enjoyed a fan girl moment with Natalie Portman earlier this week.
Rihanna and Natalie, 42, gushed over each on, with the moment captured in an adorable video, taken by photographer Stephane Feugere.
The duo stopped each other in their tracks to fangirl one another after meeting unexpectedly in the French capital.
Natalie gushed: ‘I love you’, while Rhianna quickly interrupted: ‘I am a proper fan’.
Shocked at her response, the actress replied: ‘Are you kidding me?’
Rihanna said: ‘You are one of the hottest b****** in Hollywood forever. You have the most innocent look an I’m like “uhhh”.’
Natalie added: ‘I’m gonna faint. I love you and I listen to your music all the time, you’re just such a queen and just thank you.’
Rihanna urged: ‘Can somebody take a picture? So I like remember this happened tomorrow’, while Natalie added: ‘Please!!’
The singer added: ‘I don’t get excited to meet anybody, but I love you!’
After seeing the video, fans gushed to the comments in awe of their blossoming friendship and wrote: ‘This literally means so much to me’.
