Actor Ravi Mohan and his wife Aarti Ravi are going through a public and controversial divorce. Recently, it was reported that Aarti has asked for Rs 40 lakh per month as alimony from Ravi after their separation.

Aarti Filed Petition Asking For Financial Support From Husband Ravi Mohan

The couple attended a hearing at the 3rd Additional Family Welfare Court in Chennai. During the session, Judge Thenmozhi looked into Ravi Mohan’s petition, where he stated that he no longer wanted to continue the marriage and that reconciliation was not possible. In response, Aarti filed a counter-petition asking for monthly financial support of Rs 40 lakh. The court has postponed the hearing to 12 June, as per News18 Tamil reports.

Aarti has blamed Ravi Mohan’s alleged girlfriend, Kenishaa Francis, for their failed marriage. In a public statement, Aarti said that Kenishaa’s involvement led to the breakdown of their relationship. Ravi had earlier called Kenishaa the “light” of his life. Referring to this, Aarti said, “This light has brought darkness into our lives.” She claimed that a third person was the real reason behind their split.

She added, “The truth must be told. Our marriage didn’t break because of money, power, or control. It broke because of someone else. This person was in the picture even before we talked about divorce. This is not just my assumption—I have proof.”

Ravi and Aarti got married in 2009. In 2024, Ravi announced their separation. Aarti said she and their children were shocked by the news. Meanwhile, Ravi has alleged that he faced emotional abuse and isolation in the marriage.

The situation between the two remains tense, with both sides making serious claims as the legal proceedings continue.
