The Foligno brothers compare themselves to the Kelces: Our wives are hotter
Joked before Blackhawks vs. Wild

Ahead of the Chicago Blackhawks game against Minnesota Wild, Marcus and Nick Foligno dismissed the idea of launching a podcast together, unlike the Kelce brothers‘ successful venture. Paul Bissonnette‘s query about a potential podcast, akin to the Kelce brothers’ “New Heights,” sparked conversation.
Marcus revealed that Nick had raised the idea previously. However, Nick jokingly suggested they weren’t as captivating as the Kelce brothers, especially since Travis Kelce is romantically linked with Taylor Swift, adding humor to the exchange.
The studio crew responded with laughter, and Bissonnette remarked on the Foligno brothers‘ adeptness at avoiding trouble with their banter. Similar to the Kelce brothers, the Foligno duo enjoys teasing each other in a lighthearted manner.
“Unless [we’re] dating Taylor Swift and our wives are hotter,” Nick Foligno joked on TNT.

The game proved eventful for both brothers, with Marcus engaging in a fight with Blackhawks’ Jared Tinordi and later securing the game-winning goal for the Wild in the third period.
Meanwhile, Nick contributed to the scoreboard with a game-tying goal in the second period. Despite their on-ice rivalry during the game, the Foligno brothers showcased their camaraderie and shared sense of humor off the ice, making for an entertaining interview and a memorable game night.
“[Marcus] was a difference-maker tonight, obviously with the fight,” coach John Hynes said after the game.
“But I thought he brought energy, played to his identity. We switched him around on some different lines later in the game.
“He’s a real valuable member of the team [and] not only in the way he plays, but as you said, he understands where the team’s going, where it might need momentum, and he’s willing to do things that are difficult to do, and he’s an inspirational guy.
“He’s a voice in the room. He says the right things. That’s why he’s an assistant captain. He’s a real glue guy. When you look at the dynamic of a team, he’s certainly a leader.”
