Offset has now admitted he was lying when he claimed his wife Cardi B was cheating on him in a social media post.
The 31-year-old Migos rapper said in a since-deleted post, ‘My wife f****d a n**** on me gang yall n***** know how I come,’ which lead Cardi to shoot back and say he was ‘spiraling.’
While cooler heads ultimately prevailed, the rapper (born Kiari Kendrell Cephus) appeared on the Way Up with Angela Yee podcast, where he admitted he was fighting with his wife and ‘lit’ on tequila when he made the post to make her mad.
‘That post, to be honest… that’s my wife. I love her to death, but we’re going back and forth and if you’ve got a New York woman, you know, she’s a pitbull at the mouth,’ Offset admitted.
‘She get crazy at the mouth a little bit and I was really lit that night. I was lit, had a little Casamigos here and there,’ he admitted.
‘I was lit and we’re going back and forth and I’m like, “Watch this,”‘ he said, referring to the post that he later deleted.
‘She got a crazy mouth, but I love my wife at the end of the day. But she crazy, man. I’m crazy. We’re crazy for each other,’ Offset admitted.
After he sent the post, Cardi B took to Twitter spaces to set the record straight on Offset’s post.
‘First of all, let me say, you can’t accuse me of all the things you know that you are guilty of. Sing it with me, y’all! And I see that it is easy for you to blame everything on me. Yes, honey!’ she began, referring to Offset’s previous accusations of cheating.
‘Listen. Don’t pay attention to that country man, y’all’ and added Offset is ‘spiraling and thinking s*** that’s not true.’
‘Come on, now. I’m Cardi B. I think sometimes motherf***rs forget I’m Cardi B. If I was giving this p**** to anybody, it would be out. I’m not just anybody,’ she added.
The Bodak Yellow hitmaker said she is ‘not in a position to hook up with a regular degular shmegular guy because he would tell the world.’
She also said she ‘can’t sleep with anybody in the industry because they would tell, too.’
Cardi told Offset to ‘stop acting stupid’ and added: ‘The f***? Stop playing. That’s all I’mma motherf*****g say because for real, let’s be serious.’
Offset added that he didn’t address the situation further besides deleting the post, adding, ‘The delete is enough because at the end of the day them people don’t be really knowing what’s going on with us, for real.’
He also addressed his infidelity after he tied the knot with Cardi B back in 2017, stating, ‘When I did do that, I was in a different space.’
‘I was young. I had just got married. I’m getting a lot of money,’ he said, adding he struggled to communicate his, ‘wants and needs.’
