College student Jack Sweeney continues to track Taylor Swift‘s whereabouts as she makes her way to Las Vegas for the Super Bowl – despite being threatened with a lawsuit by her attorneys.
Sweeney, a 21-year-old junior at the University of Central Florida, has run a number of accounts that track the flight paths of planes and helicopters owned by celebrities, billionaires, politicians and other high-profile figures.
One of those celebrities is Swift, who has been drawing criticism for her use of private jets due to the planet-warming emissions of carbon dioxide that are released with every flight.
As well as monitoring her movements, Sweeney’s account has also been documenting the amount of CO2 Swift’s private jet has been producing, which has led to the pop star’s attorneys threatening a lawsuit for ‘stalking and harassing behavior’.

But Sweeney is still tracking the pop star on her 5,500-mile journey from Tokyo to Vegas

Yet despite the threat of legal action, Sweeney is still tracking Swift’s movements as the 14-time Grammy winner embarks on a 5,500-mile journey from her latest Eras Tour stop in Tokyo all the way to Las Vegas – where she will watch boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs face the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl.
The student shared photos of her private jet touching down in Los Angeles, where she arrived on Saturday night before her final journey to Vegas, along with the flight number and even alleged messages exchanged during the flight by the cabin crew.
He also claimed that any emissions documented for Taylor’s journey to Vegas should be doubled as VistaJet, the airline flying her to the Super Bowl, also flew a backup plane over with her.

Sweeney’s accounts use publicly available data, and also share the estimates of their planet warning emissions – with the college junior first going head to head with Elon Musk in 2022 for sharing his jet’s details.
In a statement to DailyMail.com Sweeney said: ‘I think it’s important to note that nowhere do I intend for harm. I actually think Swift has some good songs.
‘I believe in transparency and public information.’
Swift’s attorneys in Washington recently said their client would have ‘have no choice but to pursue any and all legal remedies’ if he did not stop his ‘stalking and harassing behavior’, according to the Washington Post.

Jack Sweeney’s response to Taylor
In a statement to DailyMail.com, Sweeney said: ‘I think it’s important to note that nowhere do I intend for harm. I actually think Swift has some good songs. I believe in transparency and public information, apparently more so than Meta.
‘Also important to note that this letter came days after headlines about her jet use caused bad headlines for her about carbon emissions.
‘A year earlier her team stated to the media that her jet is rarely used by her as it is loaned out.
‘The statements by her team directly contradict each other. Just like her teams response to there being one jet.
‘Which is only true in the past two weeks. Her family together has owned N898TS, and N621MM for years, only changing recently. Saying there is only one jet is an attempt to make the families jet use seem not as bad. ‘Which may be now true but this has only recently changed. This event is eerily similar to December 2022 when Musk tweeted he would take legal action against me, after he claimed someone had come after him.
‘All of which has been disproven by OSINT. Swifts team also suggests that I have no legitimate interest in sharing the jet information.
‘Which is inherently wrong, her fans the ones who have grown the TaylorSwiftJets accounts and subreddit. The tracking accounts routinely have more supporters and fans than otherwise.
‘When the Embassy of Japan in the USA, makes a statement saying that they are confident Swift can make it on a flight from Tokyo to the Super Bowl.
‘I think the people are interested and that you should have a decent expectation that your jet will be tracked whether or not I do it as after all it is public information.’
It added that Sweeney’s accounts had caused Swift and her family ‘direct and irreparable harm, as well as emotional and physical distress,’ as well as heightening her ‘constant state of fear for her personal safety’.
The letter, which was sent to Sweeney’s family home, said that there was no ‘legitimate interest in or public need for this information, other than to stalk, harass, and exert dominion and control.’
Authored by Katie Wright Morrone from Venable law firm, the strongly-worded cease and desist accused Sweeney of treating it like a ‘game’.
‘While this may be a game to you, or an avenue that you hope will earn you wealth or fame, it is a life-or-death matter for our Client,’ Morrone added.
Swift was seen making a speedy getaway from LAX Saturday evening after completing the first stage of her mad dash to reunite with Kelce at the Super Bowl.
The songstress touched down in LA following an eight-hour flight from Tokyo, arriving to a media and fan frenzy and high police presence at the airport.
She attempted to maintain a low profile as she deplaned from the private jet bearing the call sign ‘The Football Era’ that was tracked by over 32,000 people and immediately escaped the airport to head to her LA home – one of her many properties.
A fleet of SUVs was pulled up next to the hangar at the airport’s private terminal to whisk the 34-year-old away and she was seen hurrying to the waiting vehicles, shielded by an umbrella in new footage.
The singer hid herself from the circus of fans and media who had gathered at the airport for her arrival, before slipping into the vehicle.
