They are currently embroiled in a bitter custody battle over their six children, but it is said that numerous nannies quitting on the spot was the final nail in the coffin of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s marriage.

As the warring superstars fight for their kids in court, it is claimed the parenting cracks started to show early on during their near five-year marriage.

Bradgelina have openly admitted they fell in love on the set of their 2005 movie Mr & Mrs Smith – while Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston.

They were so sneaky at the time that they even managed to hide their secret feelings for each other from their bodyguard.

But a blind eye to their overindulged child ren, who ‘ruled the roost’ at the family home before the couple called it quits in 2016, was said to have played a part in the breakdown of their relationship.

By this time they were sleeping in separate rooms and spending very little time together, it was reported.

Twins Knox, and Vivienne, 15, Pax, 19, Shiloh, 17, Zahara, 18, and Maddox, 22, were always the main focus in both parents’ lives.

But an ‘anything goes’ set-up was underlined by what was claimed to be a family motto that at home, there were simply no rules.

It was also suggested that the children “weren’t encouraged to make any friends outside of the family circle”.

An apparent lack of meal time discipline forced one former nanny to quit.

The children “insisted” on scoffing pizza, crisps or chocolate for breakfast – setting the tone for a lawless day ahead.

In the end, they had between six and nine nannies, sources said with some even suggesting at one point they had one each at the family’s mansion.

Yet those close to the family were told that they were ‘rotated’ to guard against attachment. But numerous stories of walk-outs couldn’t be ignored.

In the final year of their marriage, Angelina’s brother James moved in to care for the kids, the MailOnline report.

Brad and James, it is claimed, did not see eye-to-eye and things quickly turned sour. US Magazines later claimed that some of their brood starting calling their uncle ‘dad’.

The parents’ relationship has come under the microscope lately.

The children were ‘shell-shocked’ when watching an alleged fight break out between the couple on a private jet in 2016, FBI files claim.

According to the documents, seen by several news outlets, Angelina, 47, claimed Brad, 58, yelled at their kids ‘mummy’s crazy’, when one of them tried to intervene when the actor ‘grabbed her by the head’ during their row.

In the report, Angelina claimed herself and their six children were ‘shell-shocked’ when Brad started a drunken rant on the flight back to Los Angeles from France on September 14, 2016.

The actress said she felt ‘frozen, scared and didn’t know what to do’ after Brad allegedly ‘grabbed her by the head’, which prompted one of their children to say: ‘Are you ok Mommy?’.

She claimed Brad replied: ‘No Mommy’s not ok. She’s ruining this family. She’s crazy.’

Angelina sought a divorce days after the private flight.

In the FBI documents, the Lara Croft star also claimed when one of their children called him a “p***k” to try to stop the fight, the actress held him back in a choke hold to restrain him.

The actress said she was hurt in the struggle, according to the report, which included pictures of her reported injuries to the hand and elbow.

Jolie claimed Brad behaved like a ‘monster’ on the flight, pouring beer on her and causing $25,000 of damage to the plane, mostly caused by red wine stains.

Brad has always vehemently denied all of his ex-wife’s claims.
