“I’ve gotta thank my two special scene partners this year, Olivia Colman and Taylor Swift,” Moss-Bachrach said in his acceptance speech.

The singer, acknowledging the mention, congratulated him on X the following day, writing “Congratulations!!”.

The reference stems from a Season 2 episode where Moss-Bachrach‘s character seeks Swift concert tickets for his family. The episode features him singing Swift‘s “Love Story” while driving.

“This is such a privilege to play this part,” Moss-Bachrach said.

“Really beautiful experience to take this man kind of from a tough place into the light. It’s not often you get to do that – to play joy. And it’s been a really wonderful, special, special experience for me.”

“The Bear” scooped four awards at the Critics Choice Awards, with Moss-Bachrach‘s co-star Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri also winning.

The comedy series took home the Best Comedy Series accolade. The show had previously received five nominations at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards, further cementing its success.
