Clark’s achievements are turning into deja vu. One by one she is taking over the reins on her path to become the all-time leading athlete to a level that’s leaving behind even the players in men’s basketball. Despite being defeated last season in a run for the national title, Caitlin Clark doesn’t look anything short of oozing confidence. The spirit she is currently is unbreakable.
The Hawkeyes point guard’s career is oscillating at a fast pace, as she gets the legends’ applause for adding another accolade to her list of achievements.
Caitlin Clark on a spatial extension
Making the season super hot, Caitlin Clark’s name has made its way to the G.O.A.T. as she has caught the former world’s No.1 Tennis player Billie Jean King’s attention. Notably, her recent Instagram story is shining with BJK’s blissful praise, “Way to go, @caitlinclark22!” as her Topps Bowman University Superfactor autographed card sells for a value of $78000, making it the most expensive women’s basketball card ever.

However, she still trails at No.2 in the streak of the all-time record for a women’s athlete card to be auctioned for the most value, which is still being held by the tennis legend Serena Williams whose card was sold for the value of $266400 in May 2022.
Interestingly, this is not the first time that Clark has been praised from the tennis side of the world. Notably, she received support from the great Serena Williams’ husband for her buzzer-beater shot in a game against Michigan State which erupted into a controversy. After the incident, Serena’s husband Alexis Ohanian shared a post on X claiming that Clark deserved respect and that her shot counted. This is a perfect example of how the two athletes show mutual respect and connection with one another.
But what exactly happened in that game? let’s jog our memory on that.
Clark’s icky buzzer-beater
The Hawkeyes’ performance stands remarkable in their matchup against Michigan State. Notably, only 42 seconds were remaining and the score was tied at 71-71, just then came the tie-breaker Clark making an impressive block. She then hit a buzzer-beating 3-pointer straight from the logo securing a 76-73 win for the Hawkeyes.
This is the reason the game turned out to be one of her most memorable plays, concluded with a 40-point score. Clark shocked everyone with this shot and the victory played a pivotal role in improving Iowa’s record to 14-1.
Hence, Clark’s tireless efforts and love for the sport surely prove that there is no limit to the sky for Clark always plays to shine.
